8th Annual Budweiser - Lowrance
King Salmon Derby!!
On behalf of the Brewster Chamber of Commerce, we want to welcome you once again and say thank you for choosing to be a part of our Annual Budweiser-Lowrance King Salmon Derby. We know you enjoy the great fishing we have here where the Columbia and Okanogan Rivers meet. The salmon run is going well and we are sure you will again have plenty of opportunities to catch the wining fish. We will be giving away lots of cash and prizes as always!
The mission of the Brewster Budweiser-Lowrance King Salmon Derby is to provide a family-oriented event to promote tourism, the Brewster Chamber of Commerce and the City of Brewster, and the Upper Columbia Salmon Fishery. We also encourage Business and Science oriented education for our area youth as a career path to the future of our community.
Brewster
Brewster offers several places to eat, a full service grocery and one motel. Camperos offers excellent Mexican cuisine, Subway, a Deli and Champs Chicken are inside Brewster Market Place. McDonald’s, Quick-E Mart and The Triangle offer food along Hwy 97, and our one motel is on the highway as well.
Unfortunately, once again our RV Park is sold out for Derby weekend. We enjoy the additional docking improvements and are looking to more in the future as we develop more and more opportunities for enjoying our community. Dry Camping, with no fee, is available in the soccer field parking lot adjacent to the boat launch area. Spaces along the curb side of the park are reserved RV spaces, no parking unless you have a reserved spot. Parking along streets are allowed in some places, but not all, be sure you are legally parked before you leave your truck and trailers. ANY camping west of 7th Street in Cove area, first come basis and MUST be approved by Derby Director.
Gas and Diesel are available at Exxon-The Triangle, Cenex, Pacific Pride, Union 76-Quick E-Mart, and Chevron. All are located along Hwy 97.
Thursday Seminar
Our Thursday evening seminar to assist you in catching bigger and bigger fish will once again be located at 910 Sunset. As you head to the boat launch, the Stop sign is located at Sunset Drive. You may park in the school parking lot, with your boat or camper if you would like and jog down thru the trees to the yard. Adult beverages are not provided, due to legal restrictions. Pop and water will be available, along with T-Shirt sales, Raffle Tickets, Side Pots and Derby Tickets until 9:00pm
